I believe that “data is the new oil” and is at the center of digital transformation. Some companies will do well in managing this challenge, but others won’t. My role is to make sure you’re creating a competitive advantage through the best usage of data. I’m also here to help you set the right course by asking the right questions so you get an IT strategy that mirrors the business strategy and drives business outcomes.
My interest and experience in Data & Analytics started way back in the Y2K days when I created and led the very first center of excellence in Business Intelligence (BI) for HP. Once social media came on the scene, I pivoted, using BI processes to create info-Pulse, a social media analytics practice for the high-tech industry.
For 10 years, I worked as an independent consultant, helping CIOs and IT organizations with their transformation journeys. This is probably why I’m so attracted to the nimble and customer-focused approach of itsoli.
When helping our customers achieve their business and IT goals, I use a unique combination of IT, consulting, outsourcing and business operations experience. I know that hiring the right talents is critical, and I’ve always sworn to “never hire somebody you will not work for one day”. I am proud to see that a lot of people I personally hired in my previous teams are now senior executives in very large high-tech companies.
On a personal note, I moved to the U.S. from France in 2000 with my wife and my two sons when they were teenagers. This was a big gamble and not always an easy transition. But the bet paid off in spades. Decades later we are still happily working and living in the U.S. My sons have great careers, are married with kids of their own, and the family is all around us.
